METTL17
METTL17,全稱為甲基轉(zhuǎn)移酶樣17蛋白,目前暫無廣泛普及的常見別名。它在細胞內(nèi)主要參與特定RNA分子的甲基化修飾,這種修飾會改變RNA的功能狀態(tài),比如影響其穩(wěn)定性、翻譯效率或細胞內(nèi)定位,進而調(diào)控細胞生長、分化等基礎(chǔ)生命活動。
當METTL17的表達或功能出現(xiàn)異常時,可能打破細胞內(nèi)的分子平衡,與某些疾病相關(guān)。已有研究發(fā)現(xiàn),在部分肝癌、肺癌等腫瘤組織中,METTL17水平明顯高于正常組織,推測其可能通過影響細胞增殖、轉(zhuǎn)移相關(guān)的分子過程促進腫瘤進展。不過,針對METTL17的藥物研發(fā)仍處于早期探索階段,科學家們正嘗試設(shè)計能調(diào)節(jié)其活性的小分子化合物,但相關(guān)研究尚未進入臨床試驗階段。
